The Russett Community is located on 610 acres in a park-like setting in the western-most part of Anne Arundel County, MD in Laurel. There are 3712 dwellings that were all built as a Planned Unit Development (PUD). All 24 residential neighborhoods which include single family homes, townhomes, condominiums and apartments along with commercial memberships all pay assessments into Russett's HOA. Annual HOA fees paid by homeowners fund an annual $2.5 million budget, which goes toward maintenance of playgrounds; a tot lot; tennis, basketball and beach volleyball courts; four pools and a pool house; walking trails; a community center; and private security. There is also a 70-acre lake nature preserve. About 13,000 residents live in Russett.
